cardiac arrest; in Palm Beach, Fla. With almost two score of his
experimental plays running in the 1960s and '70s, he was dubbed
the Neil Simon of off-off Broadway. Eyen earned a Tony Award in
1982 for the best book of a musical, for Dreamgirls.
